Concorde crash - On July 25th, 2000, the Concorde F-BTSC operated by Air-France is ready to take off from Paris Charles de Gaulle for the passenger flight to New York. During the take-off run, a fire erupted under the left wing. A few seconds after lift-off, both left engines lost thrust, and the plane crashed on a hotel. All the 109 people onboard are killed, as well as 4 people on ground.

Anyone who says airplanes are the safest mode of travel, I think that’s absolutely incorrect. Although there are less plane crashes then car crashes, car crashes don’t kill like 150 people, and also the chances of surviving on a plane or so much slimmer and plus the number of things that could go wrong are uncountable. I hate going on airplanes.

ummm.... "a loss for Brittish airways"???? this was an Air
France plane. concorde was a Brittish/French plane.

crashing i dont thinh there making them right. Cant
imagine how those poor people felt i really hate planes at
least in a car you crash on the floor!!!!!!!!!!

A sad way for a great flying machine to go. A middle aged
couple on that flight had saved up 15 yrs for the air
ticket. One will miss those great transatlantic flights.

When a concord takes off the runway must b cleaned.This
neglegent crash was the result of a DC10s engine mount pin
that was left there after it landed.The concords wheel hit
the pin which pearced the wing tank.
