American Eagle - ATR-72-212 San Juan, Puerto Rico 9th May, 2004
The aircraft, on a scheduled passenger flight from the Mayaguez (Puerto Rico) to San Juan (Puerto Rico), crashed while landing. The turboprop reportedly suffered a tire explosion upon landing, veered off the right side of the runway, and came to rest near a wooded area adjacent to the airport. At least 13 passengers and crew suffered serious injuries.
