The Fokker F-27 was on a passenger flight from the northern city of Tamale (Ghana) to Ghana's capital city. Weather at the time of the landing was reported as heavy rain and low visibility. According to witnesses, the aircraft landed nose first, and broke into several pieces. 6 out of the 54 people onboard were killed.
