November 1st 2011 - This LOT Airlines Boeing 767-35DER made a gear-up landing at Warsaw Airport, Poland. The airplane carried 230 passengers, and no one was injured.
The plane came from Newark, NJ, U.S.A. During the flight the airplane suffered a hydraulic system failure. While on approach to Warsaw's runway 33, the crew managed to deploy the flaps for landing but the undercarriage could not be lowered. The airplane entered a holding pattern at 2750 feet but the gear could not be deployed. The crew decided to make a belly landing.

April 11, 2011 - John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, United State - The left wing tip of an Air France Airbus A380 taxiing away from the gate for take off struck the left horizontal stabilizer of Comair CRJ-700 while the Comair airplane was taxiing to its gate. There were 485 passengers and 25 crew onboard the Airbus and 52 passengers and 4 crew onboard the CRJ. No injuries were reported on either aircraft. Both aircraft were taken out of service for reparations. |

September 14th, 2009 - The ContactAir Fokker-100 flying from Berlin to Stuttgart, landed on its belly after its main gear would not fully deploy on landing.
The Lufthansa-owned airline’s plane circled for 90 minutes to dump fuel and try to troubleshoot the issue, and had its main gear only partially deployed on
touchdown onto Stuttgart runway, which had been covered with foam by the crash-rescue team. The passengers were evacuated via emergency slides, where only
one passenger of the 73 onboard received minor injuries. |
