See this Swiss BAe-146 making a very tough landing at London City Airport.

Landing at London City Airport is tough, because of the short runway and steep approach. In addition, this day, a strong cross-wind was prevailing. If it doesn't look or feel right it is generally a good idea to give it away and have another attempt. For whatever reason, this flight crew decided to press. If nothing else, it's a testament to the toughness of the BAE 146 airframe.

They have several solution. 1-they can develop the runway. 2-using lighter aircraft in this airport. 3-making building shorter at finals leg. 4-replacement the airport to another facility. otherwise, they must save more money to repair the aircrafts.

Seems to me, that landing involved more luck than skill.

ex pilot says: I have been to london city airport many times and it is hard to achieve an abort landing, the pilot made the right decision and landed the aircraft with skill in bad conditions

Even with 4 engines it' easy & dangerous to get behind in a jet crabbing during strong crosswind gusts and/or windshear conditions. The jet is rugged! Gives new meaning to the old cliche: "Any landing you can walk away from is a good one.&q
