Charleston, WV, USAThe Short SD-330 operated by Air Cargo Carriers on behalf of UPS took off from Louisville, KY, USA for a freight flight to Charleston, WV, USA. 2 crewmembers were onboard. The plane crashed during landing. Both crewmembers perished.

After an uneventful flight, the plane started a VOR approach to Charleston airport. The plane impacted the runway about 340 feet past the runway threshold, in a left bank. The left wing hit the ground and broke off. Then the aircraft went off to the left of the runway into a hill and has been destroyed. No fire erupted.

The main wreckage came to rest in the ravine off the runway about 100 feet below the runway on its left side. All parts except left wing and left gear are together, some parts of the stabilizer have broken off and are close to the fuselage, the right hand wing has folded over the aircraft. The left wing and left gear remained on the runway.

Weather reports at the time of the accident indicate a calm wind, and a low ceiling with overcast clouds at 500 ft.
