The aircraft was on a passenger flight from Malaga to Melilla and was operating as Iberia Regional 8276. It overran the runway while landing at Melilla in heavy winds. 9 passengers sustained injuries (2 seriously) as the aircraft crashed into the airport boundary fence and broke into two pieces.
