The Embraer EMB-120 operated by Air Guicango took off from Dundo, Angola, for a medical flight to Luanda, Angola. 4 passengers and 3 crewmembers were onboard. The plane crashed around 20 minutes after takeoff. All the 7 occupants were killed.
The twin-engine EMB-120 was carrying three crew members, two medics, a company employee and a South African patient, suffering malaria symptoms. The plane was enroute about 15 minutes into the flight when the crew declared emergency reporting an engine failure followed by fire. About 5 minutes later, radio contact was lost. The wreckage was found the following day at 320 km (175 NM) from Dundo. There was no survivor.
