The aircraft departed Madrid-Barajas Airport for a cargo flight to Bilboa (Spain). Some 35 miles (60 kilometers) from its destination of Bilboa, the aircraft crashed into Santa María Vieja mountain. Weather was reported poor at the time of the accident.
