Bangkok Airways ATR-72-212A plane crash

The ATR 72 operated by Bangkok Airways was on Domestic Scheduled Passenger from Krabi airport, Thailand, bound for Koh Samui airport, Thailand. 68 passengers and 4 crewmembers were onboard. The plane crashed on landing at Koh Samui airport. The pilot was killed.

The weather at the time of the accident was bad, with heavy rain and strong winds reported. The plane landed on the runway, but then skidded off the runway and crashed into a former control tower on the side of the runway, which had been converted into a fire station.
