Libreville, GabonThe Antonov AN-26 cargo plane, operated for DHL, took off from Port Gentil, Gabon, for a cargo flight to Libreville, Gabon. 3 crewmembers and 1 passenger were onboard. The plane crashed into the sea during its approach to Libreville airport. The 4 crewmembers sustained minor injuries.

The aircraft was operated by Solenta Aviation Gabon, on behalf of the DHL Aviation express courier service. The plane had been given permission to land in the capital when the pilot reported there had been a hydraulic problem. The plane ditched into the sea just off the shore near Libreville Airport. The airplane came to rest submerged with the top of the tail sticking out of the water. All 4 occupants left the aircraft with minor injuries.
