Red arrows accident – August 20th 2011 – The Red Arrows (RAF display team) had finished their display over the seafront in Bournemouth (England) and just started heading back to their base when one of the nine Hawk T1 aircraft dramatically lost altitude and smashed into a field. The plane came to a standstill with its nose in the River Stour near the village of Throop. The pilot has been killed.
This footage shows the plane losing altitude and disappearing below the horizon.
