The Let L-410 operated by Aeroservice LLC on behalf of Sila Avia (Siberian Light Aviation) took off from Irkutsk, Russia, for a passenger flight to Kazachinsk, Russia. 14 passengers and 2 crewmembers were onboard. The plane was on approach to Kazachinsk airport when the aircraft impacted trees at the edge of an island in the middle of the Kirenga River, at about 2.2 NM (4 km) from the runway. The first officer and three passengers were killed, 12 passengers survived with moderate to serious injuries. The aircraft was destroyed.

The Let L-410 operated by South West Aviation took off from Juba, South Sudan, to Yirol, South Sudan. 20 passengers and 3 crewmembers were onboard. The plane crashed in a river shortly before landing at Yirol airport, about 1,75 NM south of the aerodrome. 20 occupants were killed in the accident, and 3 received serious injuries. The plane had been overhauled in 2016-2017 after having been stored for eight years.

The Let L-410 operated by Khabarovsk Avia took off from Khabarovsk, Russia, for a passenger flight to Nikolayevsk-on-Amur, Russia. 5 passengers and 2 crewmembers were onboard. However, the plane could not land in Nikolayevsk-on-Amur due to weather. The crew decided to divert to their alternate aerodrome Indiga but also could not land there due to weather. The crew then decided to divert to their next scheduled destination Nelkan, Russia. The plane crashed while it was on final approach. 6 occupants were killed, and a 3 year-old girl survived with serious injuries. The twin-engine short-range passenger plane was on final approach at around 500 feet (150 meters) above ground level when the aircraft rolled right and entered a steep descent. The aircraft fell into a forest with almost no forward speed and a high vertical speed. The wreckage was found about 800 meters (0.5 NM) from the runway threshold. The distance from first ground contact to final position was 3 meters (10 feet), showing the aircraft had almost no forward speed when it crashed. There had been no fire and or explosion. Investigations have shown that the right hand propeller went into reverse mode (also known as beta mode) while the aircraft was descending and passing 500 feet above ground level, and remained in that position until impact with the ground. The left hand engine continued to operate normally. The crew recognized the right hand propeller had gone into beta mode. The right hand beta mode as well as the crew actions caused the aircraft to slow, roll and yaw right almost 180 degrees. Weather conditions were good at Nelkan at the time of the accident, with good visibility and low wind.

The Let L-410UVP passenger plane, operated by Mombasa Air Safari, took off from Ngerende Airstrip, Kenya, for a domestic flight. 11 passengers and 2 crewmembers were onboard. The plane crashed a few seconds after takeoff. 4 occupants were killed, and 9 were injured.

The Let L-410 operated by NOAR Linhas Aéreas took off from Recife, Brazil, for a passenger flight to Natal, Brazil. 14 passengers and 2 crewmembers were onboard. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff, killing all 16 people onboard. The twin-turboprop aircraft developed technical problems immediately after takeoff. The plane was in initial climb, less than 1 minute into the flight, when the crew declared an emergency and indicated they would attempt to return to the runway. Two minutes later, the crew indicated they could not reach runway 36 and that they would attempt an emergency landing on the beach of Boa Viagem. The Czech-made L-410 was seen steeply descending and crashed 20 seconds later and burst into flames. The plane has been pulverised. The airplane crashed in a vacant field near the beach, about 1 NM from the runway end.

The Let 410, operated by Central American Airways (CAA), took off from the northern city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, for a passenger flight to Toncontin International Airport in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. 12 passengers and two crewmembers were onboard. The plane crash during the approach to the destination airport, killing all 14 people onboard. The plane was approaching runway 02 on Tegucigalpa's International Airport. Once cleared for landing, the pilots began descending toward the runway, at which time communication with the control tower was lost. Rescuers were alerted, and the crash site was located south of Tegucigalpa at the top of a mountain, near the town of Santa Ana. The plane crashed about three miles (five kilometers) south of the airport. The area where the plane crashed was a mountaintop some 2,000 feet (600 meters) above sea level, Triminio. At the time of the accident, the visibility was poor, with lot of fog reported.

The Let 410 plane, operated by TRACEP, was on a cargo Flight from Bukavu, Congo, to Shabunda, Congo. 2 crewmembers were onboard. The plane crashed shortly after take-off, killing both crewmembers. The plane was carrying consignments of food and other goods. The plane crashed minutes after takeoff, near Bugulumisa, 30 km far from Bukavu.

The Filair LET L-410 was performing a passenger flight from Kinshasa, Congo, to Bandundu, Congo, with 18 passengers and 3 crewmembers. The plane crashed into a house about 2 km from Bandundu Airport. 20 occupants were killed in the accident, and one passenger survived. The airplane was destroyed, there was no fire. After an abortive attempt to land, the aircraft turned away and crashed towards the edge of Bandundu city, hitting an earthen house. The cause of the crash is unknown, but it is very likely that it has been caused by a human error that lead the plane to stall. The owner of the private airline Filair, a Belgian citizen, was at the controls of the Let-410 plane and was among those killed. 2 months after the accident, an African media reported the presence of a crocodile onboard that escaped from a suitcase, leading to a stampede. Passengers then rushed to the cockpit unbalancing the aircraft to a point, where control was lost. This story has then been reported by many international media. However, this is a very unlikely story: it is based on the testimony of an unidentified person. Nobody on ground remembers having seen a crocodile and the plane survivor has never told about such a story. In addition, among all the photos that were taken on the crash scene, no crocodile have been captured.

The Let 410 belonging to Transaven took off from Caracas, capital of Venezuela, bound for Los Roques islands, a popular tourist spot 168 kilometers (104 miles) north of the Venezuelan capital. 14 people – 12 passengers and 2 crew members – were onboard. The plane disappeared from radar screens over the ocean. The pilot made a distress call reporting engines failure to the control tower in Los Roques islands. The plane at the time was about 38 kilometers (23 miles) from the island chain, and was flying at 3000 feet above the ocean. It was the last message received by the air traffic controllers. It is assumed the pilot tried ditching near the coral reefs surrounding Los Roques. But no signs were found of the wreckage or 14 people on board. Helicopters and boats crisscrossed an area spanning approximately 400 nautical square miles in search of the wreckage, which could have drifted far in strong currents. Transaven is a small turboprop operator which specialises in linking Caracas with tourist islands in the southern Caribbean region.

The Let 410 departed Villavicencio, Colombia, at 15:19 on a domestic flight to Uribe, Colombia, where it was scheduled to arrive 31 minutes later. The plane disappeared from radar screens over the province of Cordillera Oriental. It never arrived and was declared missing. The wreckage was spotted on a mountain after a three-day search that included two helicopters and two Colombian Air Force fixed-wing aircraft. The plane crashed in a remote area at an elevation of 2400 m, where there were concerns that Marxist insurgents from the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) could have been operating. None of the 15 Colombian soldiers and three crewmembers survived. Poor visibility was reported as a possible factor in the crash of the Czech-made LET-410, a two-engine propeller aircraft.

A small LET-410 twin-engine plane belonging to the local Team Airline crashed in the mountains of Rio de Janeiro state (Brazil), killing all 17 passengers and 2 crew members aboard. The plane left Macae, the base for offshore oil operations in Rio de Janeiro state, for a 40-minute flight to Rio de Janeiro city about 110 miles to the southwest. It had gone down 20 minutes after take-off in a mountainous region between Saquarema and Rio Bonito. There were no reports of severe weather where the Czech-made plane disappeared. The aircraft, which had a capacity to carry 19 passengers and two crew members, was at least five years old and had recently gone through a two-month routine maintenance. It also had been inspected by the Aviation Authority. Local media said rural workers in the mountainous region between Macae and Rio de Janeiro heard an explosion after the plane flew very low overhead.

The aircraft departed Cap Haitien for a passenger flight to Port de Paix. Shortly after takeoff, eyewitnesses reported seeing smoke coming from the aircraft's forward door. The aircraft then crashed and burned in a sugar cane field. All 21 passengers and crew members were killed.
